B-Safety BR 023 995 Safety Shower Valve

Wall-mounted safety shower valve with integrated drain, designed for installations where the pipework between valve and shower head must be emptied after operation or testing. Actuation is via a 90° rotary lever; the valve remains open until manually reset. This configuration supports compliance with self-draining requirements in emergency shower systems.

Technical Specifications

  • Type: BR 023 995, wall-mounted safety shower valve with integrated draining
  • Water connection: Rp ¾” female
  • Operating pressure: 1–5 bar
  • Flow rate: ≥60 l/min at 1 bar flow pressure
  • Dimensions: 100 × 90 × 90 mm
  • Lever: stainless steel AISI 316, length 110 mm
  • Handle: black plastic, spherical, Ø30 mm
  • Drain: integrated valve, automatic or manual line draining

Materials

Ball valve and lever are AISI 316 stainless steel. Drain valve, handle, and cover are plastic. Sealing materials for the ball valve are not specified in the technical sheet and must be confirmed for applications involving chlorinated water, deionized water, or elevated temperatures.

Applications

Used in fixed emergency showers in chemical plants, laboratories, chemical loading areas, industrial safety water networks, and locations requiring rapid body rinsing. Suitable for potable water networks; ball valve is DIN-DVGW certified for drinking water systems. Compatible with network water as the process medium.

Standards and Installation

Complies with EN 15154-1:2006, EN 15154-5:2019, ANSI Z358.1-2014, DIN 1988, EN 1717, BGI/GUV-I 850-0, and GOST-R. For EN 15154-1 installations, the section between valve and shower head must be self-draining.

Variant Comparison: BR 023 995 vs BR 022 995

BR 023 995 is a compact wall-mounted version with a short lever and integrated drain. BR 022 995 uses a pull rod for actuation from a lower height. Select BR 023 995 where direct actuation at the valve and post-use line draining are required.
