Tecfluid LT – Bypass Chamber Level Indicator

The LT series is a side-mounted liquid level indicator utilizing a communicating vessel chamber. The internal float tracks the tank level and magnetically transmits position to an external indicator, eliminating mechanical linkage to atmosphere. Functions include local indication, limit switch, or continuous transmitter output.

Variants

• LT: External float indication via borosilicate glass, cm scale, up to 400 °C, AISI 316L construction.
• LTL: Magnetic bi-color strip indication, up to 200 °C, AISI 316L.
• LT/LTL106: AISI 316L body, flanged connection.
• LT/LTL116: AISI 316L body, threaded connection.
• LT/LTL14: PVC, PVC-C, PP, or PVDF body.
• LT/LTL15: AISI 316L with internal PTFE lining.

Technical Selection Limits

Measuring range: 150 mm to 15 m. Accuracy: ±10 mm. Liquid density: 0.55–2 kg/l. Max viscosity: 1500 cSt. Metal versions: PN16–PN40 (up to PN100 on request). Plastics: PN10, float up to 6 bar. Connections: EN 1092-1, ASME B16.5, BSP, or NPT.

Automation & Signals

Available with adjustable APR/AAR reed contacts, AMM microswitch, AMD NAMUR (EN 60947-5-6), and LTE 4–20 mA transmitter (reed/resistor chain). Optional: HART, PROFIBUS, Fieldbus, Modbus RTU, or guided radar LTDR.

Applications

Used in chemical and petrochemical tanks, boilers, thermal systems, cryogenic applications, marine systems, and liquid storage. Float selection based on density, pressure, temperature, and chemical compatibility.

Certifications

PED 2014/68/EU declaration per category. Lloyd’s Type Approval for LTL106/LTL116 up to PN25 / 150# RF. Mechanical LT is outside ATEX scope as non-ignition source; automation options available in Ex d or Ex ia per component.

FAQ

Is it only a level switch?
No. Primary function is local indication. Switches and transmitter are optional.

When to select LTL over LT?
When magnetic strip indication is required instead of external float in glass tube.

What is required for maintenance?
Check chamber cleanliness, free float movement, flange tightness, and correct switch adjustment.
