Tecfluid LE – Magnetic Float Level Transmitter

The Tecfluid LE series is designed for continuous liquid level measurement in industrial tanks and process vessels. Unlike simple point level switches, it provides an analog output proportional to the liquid level. Measurement is achieved via a magnetic float moving along a guide tube, actuating a reed/precision resistor chain. The resulting resistance change is converted to a standard 4–20 mA two-wire signal.

Variants

  • LEM70: Flanged connection, guide length up to 2,000 mm
  • LEM71: Threaded connection, guide length up to 2,000 mm
  • LE70: Flanged connection for lengths above 2,000 mm
  • LE71: Threaded connection for lengths above 2,000 mm

LEM series requires minimum liquid density of 0.7 kg/l; LE series requires 0.6 kg/l, depending on float material and type.

  • Measuring range: 150–2,000 mm for LEM, up to 6,000 mm for LE (AISI 316L)

Signal and Communication Options

Transmitters available: TR3420, TR2420H, TR2420FP, including Ex ia versions. Output options: 4–20 mA, HART, PROFIBUS PA, Foundation Fieldbus. For control panels, the MT03L converter provides level indication, analog output, and alarm relay.

Installation and Maintenance

Install vertically from tank top or in a side chamber. Verify float movement and correct UP orientation. Ensure liquid density supports float buoyancy. For threaded connections, do not exceed 60 Nm tightening torque.

Complies with PED 2014/68/EU, EMC 2014/30/EU, RoHS, WEEE. ATEX versions available for hazardous areas. Ex d certification: II 2G Ex db IIC T6…T3 Gb, II 2D Ex tb IIIC.
