WEY HD Knife Gate Valve – High-Pressure Service
The WEY HD series is designed for isolation of high-pressure pipelines carrying slurry, sludge and media containing suspended or settling solids. Process pressure supports the seat sealing function, while the enclosed bonnet limits leakage to atmosphere and can be equipped with flushing connections for solids removal.

The four-column actuator frame withstands the increased axial loads generated at high differential pressure. Permissible pressure and temperature must be verified against valve size, body material, sealing system and process-medium compatibility.
Actuator Options
-
Manual bevel gearbox
-
Pneumatic cylinder
-
Hydraulic cylinder
-
Electric actuator
Actuator thrust is calculated according to differential pressure, nominal diameter, solids concentration, friction conditions and required closing time.
Applications
Mining slurry, tailings, dewatered sludge, digested sludge, mine-water systems and high-pressure lines in tunnelling, wastewater treatment and mineral-processing plants.
FAQ
When is the HD series selected?
When operating pressure exceeds the range of standard knife gate valves or when the medium contains abrasive and settling solids.
Are flushing connections required?
They are recommended for media with high solids content to reduce deposits inside the bonnet and along the gate guides.
Is the valve intended for throttling?
No. The standard HD configuration is intended for full open or full closed isolation service.
