The OMC PC15 is a two-wire field-mounted electro-pneumatic converter designed to convert a 4–20 mA signal into a proportional pneumatic output pressure. It is typically installed as an interface between an electronic controller and a pneumatic actuator on a linear control valve.
PC15 mounts on 35 mm DIN EN 50022 rail. Stable operation requires clean, dry instrument air. A filter-regulator with max 25 μm filtration is recommended upstream to prevent faults from moisture, oil, or particulates.
Standard PC15 features a polycarbonate cover and cast aluminum body with anti-corrosion coating. PC15.1 is available for intrinsic safety (ATEX: II 1G Ex ia IIC T6/T5 Ga) for hazardous areas, requiring certified supply circuits per EN 60079.
When to select PC15 over PC13?
Use PC15 when the converter must be field-mounted near the valve or actuator.
When is PC18 required?
Select PC18 when the actuator requires higher control pressure, up to 0.5–8 bar.
