Miyawaki ER25 – Inverted Bucket Steam Trap
The Miyawaki ER25 is a mechanical inverted bucket steam trap made from cast steel SCPH2, designed for high condensate loads and higher pressure steam applications. It operates using a dual steam separation mechanism with a U-shaped duct and inverted bucket, allowing condensate discharge through mechanical bucket/lever movement without an external actuator.

Operational Features
A small vent hole at the top of the bucket removes hot air and non-condensable gases, reducing air locking. The SCCV System is a self-centering valve assembly, useful in steam traps with frequent cyclic operation. The ER25 supports condensate recovery with backpressure up to 90% of upstream pressure, provided the return line has proper check and isolation.
Applications
Suitable for heat exchangers, dryers, unit heaters, process drains, dyeing facilities, cleaning installations, food units, and HVAC systems with increased condensate flow. Selection is based on flow rate, Δp, backpressure, steam temperature, DN, connection type, and required pressure class.
Maintenance
The design allows for on-line repair. During service, check the strainer, seat, valve, bucket, lever, gaskets, and vent hole. Pipework cleaning is required before startup, especially after welding or new installation.
