Hydraulic Part-Turn Actuators 90° | Sander Marine

Sander Marine hydraulic part-turn actuators are designed for the operation of 90° quarter-turn valves, primarily butterfly valves and ball valves, in marine and industrial applications. Developed by Sander Marine’s engineering department and manufactured in-house, the actuators are designed for long service life and low-maintenance operation.

The range is available in double-acting and spring-return configurations, with spring-to-close or spring-to-open operation depending on the required fail-safe function. The modular actuator design allows conversion between double-acting hydraulic and spring-return configurations to suit different operating requirements.

The actuators provide constant torque output throughout their operating range and can be installed in various mounting positions. Adjustable rotation limits allow accurate setting of the valve travel, while the internal hydraulic piping reduces the exposure of external oil lines and the risk of mechanical damage.

Valve mounting is provided through combined flanges according to ISO 5211, while the NAMUR interface allows the installation of commonly used limit switches and position indicators. Hydraulic connections and control blocks are standardised throughout the actuator range, simplifying installation, maintenance and system integration.

For emergency manual operation, an additional hand pump can be connected to the hydraulic control block through a quick coupling. Versions with an intermediate gearbox for manual emergency operation are also available.

The SHA/DA-32 to SHA/DA-63 actuator sizes feature a single-piston design, while the SHA/DA-70 is equipped with a double-piston arrangement.
