Globe Valve Compact Design Fluitek

Compact globe steam trap for small diameters 1/2"–2", featuring a forged straight-pattern body for high-pressure lines. Designed for applications where space, weight, and pressure rating resistance are critical selection factors.

Technical Specifications

  • Standardization: ANSI
  • Connection: flanged
  • Pressure classes: 900#, 1500#, 2500#, 4500#
  • Construction: forged, compact straight pattern
  • Bonnet: bolted bonnet, seal welded bonnet, or commonly pressure seal bonnet
  • Disc: plug or needle type
  • Dimensions: per specific design and project requirements

Materials and Media Compatibility

Available in carbon steel, low temperature carbon steel, low alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, and nickel alloys. Material selection should consider temperature, pressure, corrosion, potential brittleness at low temperatures, and ASTM/ASME or harmonized EN material requirements.

Industrial Applications

Suitable for small auxiliary high-pressure lines, drains, vents, sampling lines, steam tracing, low-flow bypass, feedwater, steam, condensates, process gases, and hydrocarbons. For throttling at low flows, a needle disc is preferred, while for simple isolation, a plug disc is used.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on:

  • pressure class and design temperature
  • requirement for bolted, seal welded, or pressure seal bonnet
  • frequency of operations and seat/disc wear
  • accessibility for packing inspection
  • compatibility of body/trim material with the medium

Standards and Certifications

Compliance availability with AD2000. Available certifications include ISO 9001:2015, PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, IEC 61508 SIL, API 6A / ISO 10423, API 6D, API 6DSS, and TR-CU.

FAQ

When to choose a compact globe?

For small high-pressure diameters where a conventional globe is bulkier or does not fit the available piping layout.

Bolted or pressure seal bonnet?

Bolted bonnet for easier maintenance. Pressure seal when operating pressure is high and enhanced body–bonnet sealing is required by internal pressure.

Description

FLUITEK ORSENIGO VALVES has applied its extended experience in high pressure applications of globe valves to a line of small size (1/2” to 2”) forged construction specially designed globe valves, straight pattern.

Disc shape can be plug or needle type. Configuration can be bolted bonnet, seal welded bonnet and, most often, pressure seal bonnet. Materials are either the traditional ASTM/ASME materials, harmonized EN materials or special nonharmonized materials (ranging as usual from carbon steel to low temperature carbon steel, low alloy steels, austenitic stainless steel, austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel, nickel alloys). Pressure classes are normally on the high range side (900#, 1500#, 2500#, 4500#). Dimensions are per specific design, depending on customer specifications. Compliance with AD2000 requirements is available.
