Gate Valve Cast Iron JIS 10K - F7364
JIS 10K F7364 Cast Iron Gate Valve
Flanged cast iron gate valve for marine isolation networks, manufactured to JIS F 7364-1996. Nominal pressure class is JIS 10K. Pressure testing is performed per JIS F 7400-1996. Designed for fully open or fully closed operation; not intended for throttling or continuous flow regulation.

Typical Applications
- Seawater and freshwater lines
- Engine room cooling circuits
- Ballast and auxiliary ship systems
- Pump manifolds
- Isolation lines with JIS 10K flanges
Selection Criteria
JIS F7364 is selected when a cast iron gate valve is required for higher pressure class than JIS 5K F7363. Gate design provides low pressure drop when fully open, but operation in partially open position can cause seat wear and vibration.
Maintenance and Leakage
Periodic inspection should include seat condition, stem packing, flange integrity, and body corrosion. For seawater service, check galvanic compatibility between cast iron, bronze components, and piping.
FAQ
Is this a control valve?
No. It is an isolation valve.
What is the main difference from JIS 5K?
JIS 10K has higher shell and seat test pressures.
Where is it typically used?
In marine water, cooling, ballast, and general isolation lines.
