Description
Certifications
Nuova General Instruments safety valves are homologated and conform to:
E.D.2014/68/EU (PED), ASME XIII, SELO, UKCA, EAC TR CU 032-010-012, ATEX, UKEX, Canadian Registration.
On request we can manage third party inspection type 3.2 by official notified bodies like:
TÜV, RINA, Bureau Veritas, ABS e Lloyd's Register.
CE (PED)
The certification and marking CE is applied to all the components installed in Europe where the pressure design is above 0,5barg.
The European Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) has been made to harmonize all the regulations of the European States, this allowed the free circulation of pressure equipment and its accessories including the Nuova General Insturments safety valves.
The CE mark certifies that the PSV has successfully passed all the design and certification tests required by the PED, this is therefore a symptom of an approved, verified, safe and reliable product.
The PED approval is issued by notified European bodies following quality audits and product tests.
Nuova General Insturments safety valves are PED approved for fluid group 1 and 2, both in the gaseous, steam and liquid state.
ASME
The ASME certification is the reference standard for pressure equipment manufacturers who sell their products in America.
The ASME XIII, ASME VIII, API520, API521 standards include mandatory construction, control, testing and certification requirements for safety valves with a setting pressure greater than 1barg. This conformity is issued directly by the American notified body National Board. Product tests are carried out in the official NoBo laboratories in Columbus (Ohio) and frequent quality audits are necessary to grant an excellent product quality.
ASME approval is recognized not only in the USA but also in Brazil (NR-13), Mexico (NOM-093), the Middle East and is required in the main engineering specifications of the most important projects in various fields.
Nuova General Insturments safety valves are ASME approved for gaseous and steam state.
ASME Safety Valve Leak Test: All safety valves are leak tested with the use of a hydrogen leak detector. The acceptability criterion is 1 X 10-5 cc/s which is equal to "0" leaks, this meets or exceeds the limits defined in API 527.
SELO (TSG)
The SELO License (China Special Equipment Licensing Office) is the authorization valid for pressure equipment above 0.5barg placed in the Republic of China.
The TSG - GB/T regulation defines the guidelines for obtaining Chinese certification on safety valves, SELO certification requires quality audits and strict functional tests to be conducted at the Beijing laboratories of the official notified body CSEI (China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute).
Nuova General Insturments safety valves are SELO approved for gaseous and steam state.
UKCA (PER)
Great Britain's exit from the European Union led to the creation of a pressure equipment directive valid for the UK, this regulation is defined as PER (Pressure Equipment Regulation) and has the UKCA marking for pressures above 0.5 barg.
Although UKCA approval is not yet mandatory, Nuova General Instruments has already obtained this certification thanks to quality audits and functional tests. The UKCA certification is an added value for all those products provided in the UK.
Nuova General Insturments safety valves are UKCA approved for gaseous, steam and liquid state.
EAC (TR CU032/2013)
The EAC certification is the regulation valid for pressure equipment installed and used in the territories of the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan).
Safety valves with calibration higher than 0.5barg must therefore comply with the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Customs Union (TR CU032/2013), be provided with a technical passport written in Russian and be provided with the EAC marking.
The EAC approval is issued by an official Russian notified body following quality audits and product tests.
Nuova General Insturments safety valves are EAC approved for gaseous, steam and liquid state.
ATEX
The ATEX certification is the reference directive for equipment and protection systems for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Obtaining ATEX approval is the result of an in-depth study of all the components of the safety valve in order to guarantee the absence of ignition sources due to the intervention of the PSV.
The Nuova General Instruments safety valves are compliant for group 1, 2 fluids, both in the gaseous, vapor and liquid state and suitable for installation in areas classified as explosive 1, 2, 21, 22.
UKEX
Great Britain's exit from the European Union led to the creation of a directive on equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres valid for the UK, this regulation is defined as UKEX.
Although UKEX approval is not yet mandatory, Nuova General Instruments has already obtained this certification thanks to quality audits and product checks. UKEX certification is an added value for all those products marketed in the UK.
The Nuova General Instruments safety valves are compliant for group 1, 2 fluids, both in the gaseous, vapor and liquid state, and are suitable for installation in areas classified as explosive 1, 2, 21, 22.
EAC (TR CU012/2011)
The TR CU 012/2013 certification is the Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Customs Union for equipment and protection systems for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Obtaining this approval is the result of an in-depth study of all the components of the safety valve in order to guarantee the absence of ignition sources due to the intervention of the PSV.
The Nuova General Instruments safety valves are compliant for group 1, 2 fluids, both in the gaseous, vapor and liquid state and suitable for installation in areas classified as explosive 1, 2, 21, 22.
CRN (CANADIAN REGISTRATION NUMBER)
The Canadian Registration Number (CRN) is a code issued by each Canadian province where this license is necessary to place and use pressure equipment such as boilers, tanks or devices attached to them.
The Canadian license is issued for a project recognized by the major international standards such as ASME XIII and ASME VIII DIV.1.
The Canadian provinces that require the CRN for safety valves are:
- Alberta (ABSA)
- Ontario (TSSA)
- Quebec (QUEBEC)
- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut (ACIC)
For all other provinces, ASME approval is sufficient.
Nuova General Instruments safety valves are ASME certified for gaseous and steam state with calibration greater than 1barg can be supplied on request with CRN.
ASME Safety Valve Leak Test: All safety valves are leak tested with the use of a hydrogen leak detector. The acceptability criterion is 1 X 10-5 cc/s which is equal to "0" leaks, this meets or exceeds the limits defined in API 527.
ISO 9001
ISO 9001:2015 Standard establishes the criteria for a quality management system that focuses on the effectiveness of quality processes.
With this certification, Nuova General Instruments confirms its solid production system based on a precise procedural scheme, implementing an effective cycle of internal audits, committing itself to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, granting the ability to supply products that comply with relevant regulations with a full traceability of processes and products.
ISO 45001
The Standard 2018 UNI ISO 45001 "Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements and guidance for use" is the first international standard to define the minimum standards of good practice for the protection of workers worldwide.
With this certification, Nuova General Instruments is therefore committed to safety, to reducing risks in the workplace and to improving the health and well-being of workers, thus allowing it to increase performance in terms of health and safety.
