The Tecfluid VH is a mechanical flow switch for liquids in pipelines DN32…DN500. Flow displaces a paddle inside the pipe; this movement is transferred to a permanent magnet, which actuates an SPDT reed switch without direct contact between the switch and the process fluid. The switching point corresponds to a paddle angle of approximately 30°–45° from the zero-flow position.
Output is one non-adjustable reed contact, potential-free. Limits: 5 W, 120 VAC / 175 VDC, 0.18 AAC / 0.25 ADC. For relay coils or solenoid valves, surge protection is required; for higher loads, use an interposing relay.
For VH35, the paddle must hang vertically and be perpendicular to the flow, without touching the pipe wall. The paddle axis center must align with the pipe’s internal diameter. VH37/VH39 are for upward vertical flow only.
Suitable for flow monitoring in heating/cooling circuits, hydraulic systems, water treatment, pools, fire protection, pulp and paper, chemical and petrochemical lines where a simple flow presence signal is required.
Does it measure flow rate? No. It is a flow limit switch, not an analog flowmeter.
Can it be used for gases? Not for the VH series; intended for liquids.
Is it ATEX certified? May be considered simple apparatus per IEC 60079-11, but is not ATEX marked.
