    Steam traps and condensate equipment are part of the steam balance. They must be selected according to condensate load, differential pressure, back pressure, start-up load, air venting and system layout.

    Pressure reducing and safety valves have different functions. A pressure reducing valve controls downstream pressure. A safety valve protects equipment from overpressure and must be sized according to the relief scenario.
