B-Safety BR 084 185 / V ClassicLine

Adjustable emergency body shower for installation above doors, featuring exposed piping and ¾" female water connection. The “V” variant allows for variable installation geometry, with total width adjustable from 285 to 1535 mm and arm projection of 525 mm.

Technical Specifications

  • Operating dynamic pressure: 1.5–3 bar
  • Standard flow rate: 50 l/min
  • Optional flow rates: 75 or 110 l/min
  • Headroom: 395–1100 mm, depending on configuration
  • Shower head lower edge: 2200 mm ±100 mm from floor
  • Pull rod with ring: 955–1660 mm
  • Signage: EN ISO 7010 / ASR A1.3, PVC 150 × 150 mm, 15 m recognition distance

Construction and Operation

Assembly includes a dezincification-resistant brass ball valve, actuated by a pull rod. Valve can be positioned on either side of the door. Piping, arm, wall flange, and connectors are stainless steel with green chemically resistant coating. The shower head is made from chemically resistant plastic, self-draining, with integrated automatic flow regulator. Self-draining design minimizes stagnant water between valve and head, relevant for intermittent use or hard water conditions.

Flow Rate Selection

  • 50 l/min: standard version
  • 75 l/min: increased decontamination demand
  • 110 l/min: higher hydraulic capacity for greater chemical load

Selection should be based on risk assessment, available dynamic pressure, line pressure drop, and door location as an egress point.

Standards and Certifications

Complies with EN 15154-2:2006, EN 15154-5:2019, ANSI Z358.1-2014, DIN-DVGW / DVGW NW-0416CL0425, GOST-R. Manufacturer documentation also references EN 15154-1:2006, DIN 1988, and EN 1717.

Applications and Media

Suitable for emergency decontamination in laboratories, chemical plants, and industrial facilities. Compatible with potable and process water. Designed for periodic or continuous operation in environments with aggressive media or scaling risk.

Variants and Options

  • Actuation: manual pull rod
  • Valve position: left or right of door
  • Sealing: brass valve, plastic head, stainless steel wetted parts

Product description

The body safety showers are equipped with the B-SAFETY high-performance shower head, which not only meets the specifications of ANSI Z358.1 and EN 15154, but is also self-draining, largely free of calcification and maintenance, and very robust and corrosion-resistant. The limited, uniform and above all soft water jet is optimized for rinsing off chemicals on the skin.

The integrated automatic flow regulator ensures a standard-compliant spray pattern regardless of the water pressure on site. With the enclosed safety sign according to EN ISO 7010 and ASR A1.3, the B-SAFETY emergency shower is marked and visibility is improved. The viewing distance is 15 meters.
