NORIS Basket Strainer Bauform 155
The NORIS Bauform 155 is a welded basket strainer with a flat mesh screen, designed for installation upstream of instrumentation, control valves, pumps, and sensitive process assemblies. It is specified where retention of solid particles is required and a larger mesh area is needed compared to small inline strainers.
Operating Conditions
- Operating pressure: 6 to 40 bar.
- Sizes: DN50 to DN400.
- Open mesh area: >1.5 × nominal pipe cross-section.
- Installation: horizontal or vertical, observing flow direction.

Materials and Sealing
Body available in WN 1.4571 (stainless steel) or carbon steel. Mesh screen is WN 1.4571. Bolts: A4-70 or 5.6; nuts: A4-70 or 5.2; gaskets: Klingersil C-4400. Material selection must consider process fluid, temperature, corrosion, and piping specification.
Mesh Selection and Applications
Mesh size is selected based on required particle retention and allowable differential pressure. Technical datasheet provides ordering example for DN150 PN16 with 2.0 mm mesh. Typical applications: process water lines, compatible industrial liquids, utility circuits, and upstream of flowmeters or control valves.
Difference from Bauform 150
Bauform 155 is a welded construction with flat mesh, available up to DN400. Bauform 150 is a basket strainer with different mesh geometry and options for differential pressure monitoring. Selection depends on DN, available space, solids loading, and cleaning procedure.
Additional Options
Optional sight glass in the cover for visual inspection of the internal chamber. No actuators, test standards, or certifications are specified in the available technical datasheet.
