Globe Valve Angle Cast Iron with non return plug JIS 10K - F7376
Cast Iron Angle SDNR Valve JIS 10K F7376
Technical note: The page references JIS F7378, but type F7376 corresponds to a cast iron angle SDNR (screw-down non-return) valve per JIS 10K. F7378 refers to the equivalent 16K series.
Operating Description
The JIS F7376 is an angle globe valve of SDNR – screw-down non-return type. Flow direction changes by 90°, and the disc can be mechanically closed via handwheel or act as a non-return element when open.
Used in marine piping systems where isolation and reverse flow prevention are required without a separate check valve.
Technical Characteristics
- Type: cast iron angle globe valve SDNR
- Standard: JIS F7376 / JIS 10K
- Connection: flanged JIS B2220 10K
- Test: JIS F7400
- Body/bonnet: cast iron FC20 / FC200
- Seat/disc: bronze BC6 or stainless trim, depending on version
- Stem: brass or stainless steel, per material class
- Operation: handwheel
- Stem sealing: packing gland
- Typical sizes: DN50–DN300, subject to series availability
Test Pressure
For DN200 and below: body hydrostatic test 2.06 MPa, seat test 1.51 MPa. For DN250 and above: 1.47 MPa and 1.08 MPa respectively.
Applications
- Seawater cooling and service water lines
- Bilge, ballast, and fire main auxiliary lines
- Low-pressure air, steam, and neutral liquid lines
- Piping points where 90° angle layout reduces fittings
- Retrofit in marine networks with JIS 10K flanges
Type Selection
Select F7376 over F7375 when 90° flow is required. For higher pressure, consider JIS 16K F7378. For isolation only (no non-return), use F7308.
FAQ
Is this a control valve?
Not for precise control duty. Primarily for shut-off and non-return functions.
What is checked during maintenance?
Stem packing, seat, disc, free non-return movement, and body corrosion in seawater service.
