Angle SDNR Valve JIS 16K F7410

The F7410 is an angle pattern Screw Down Non Return (SDNR) valve with JIS 16K flanged ends. It is used in marine piping systems where manual shut-off and non-return functions are required in a single valve. Product documentation specifies bronze construction, angle flow, flanged JIS 16K connection.

Operation

Flow direction changes by 90°. The rising stem lowers the disc onto the seat for isolation. When open, the disc acts as a check element, restricting reverse flow of water, steam, or oil. Standard JIS F7410 covers bronze 16K screw-down check angle valves for shipbuilding applications.

Technical Specifications

  • Type: angle globe valve SDNR
  • Connection: JIS 16K flanges
  • Sizes: DN15–DN40
  • Body: bronze alloy
  • Disc: bronze/brass
  • Stem: brass
  • Seat: metal
  • Stem sealing: gland packing
  • Operation: handwheel, rising stem
  • Certification: 3.1 / 3.2 and class society inspection on request

Pressure and Temperature

  • Non-shock water: 22 bar at 120°C
  • Air, gases, steam, pulsed water: 16 bar at 205°C

Suitable Media

Cooling water, fresh water, seawater, saturated steam, lubricating oil, and neutral non-aggressive liquids. For fuels or chemicals, verify material compatibility and vessel regulations.

Selection vs. Other Types

The F7410 is selected over F7409 when a 90° angle configuration is required. Chosen over F7352 when JIS 16K class is needed instead of JIS 5K. Not suitable for precise flow regulation; main use is shut-off and non-return.

Typical Applications

  • Seawater cooling and service water in engine rooms
  • Hot water and saturated steam lines (low/medium pressure)
  • Lubricating and neutral oils
  • Shipside or primary isolation points requiring certification
  • Retrofit in marine networks with JIS 16K flanges

Maintenance

Periodic inspection of stem packing, seat/disc surfaces, free movement of check disc, and corrosion (especially in seawater). For steam, monitor thermal cycling and possible gland loosening.

FAQ

Can it be used for throttling?
Limited throttling only. Not a control valve.

Is actuator mounting possible?
Standard version is manual. Automation requires torque, stem travel, and adaptation checks.
