BLU ZAC SASY – Sampling Station

BLU ZAC SASY is a prefabricated sampling station for liquids and gases, engineered per application. Typical use cases include boiler rooms, condensate lines, feedwater, and process points where samples must be taken under controlled pressure, temperature, and flow. The system is available with or without an integrated sample cooler.

Operation

The assembly extracts a sample from the process line. When equipped with a cooler, the sample is brought close to ambient temperature prior to analysis. This is critical for boiler or steam samples, where flashing and volatile loss can affect conductivity, pH, or chemical additive measurements. The system can be configured for sample return to the process line if required.

Construction and Connections

  • Connection sizes: 3/8" to 1"
  • End connections: buttweld BW per ANSI B16.25 or flanged per ANSI B16.5
  • Optional protective enclosure available to meet site environmental requirements
  • Configurable for high-pressure applications per process specification

Materials

Technical datasheet lists options for carbon steel, low-temperature steel, and stainless steel:

  • Sample cooler/coil: ASTM A106 Gr.B, ASTM A333 Gr.6, ASTM A312 TP304, ASTM A312 TP316
  • Flexible hoses: PTFE + AISI 316
  • Valves: ASTM A105, ASTM A350 LF2, ASTM A182 F304, ASTM A182 F316
  • Pressure gauge: AISI 316
  • Name plate: AISI 304

Selection Criteria

Specification requires process fluid, pressure, temperature, sample flow rate, cooling/heating requirements, sample return needs, wetted materials, and connection type.

Maintenance

Annual maintenance is recommended, with monthly inspection/cleaning where accessible. For threaded cover variants, inspect coil, cooler, gauge, and check for leaks during restart.

SAMPLING SYSTEM

The system can be designed to include a sample cooler, making it possible to heat/cool the sample collected to the ambient temperature in order to facilitate its analysis.

The protection cabinet is built according to the customer’s environmental regulations and the extraction system can allow for the reinsertion of the collected sample into the line.
