B-Safety PremiumLine self-draining emergency showers are intended for outdoor or semi-outdoor installation in hot climates where solar radiation can overheat stagnant water inside the standpipe. This category covers the BR 305 195 eye shower, BR 830 195 body shower, and BR 832 195 combined body/eye shower.
The design principle is post-use drainage of the vertical pipe section after valve closure. The shut-off valve is positioned close to the water inlet, so the standpipe fills only during actuation. This reduces the volume of water exposed to elevated ambient temperature and direct sun load. The arrangement is relevant for chemical plants, refineries, tank farms, loading bays, and external process areas where emergency flushing must not discharge overheated water onto the operator.
The body shower versions are manufactured in polished stainless steel with overall height 2330 mm and projection 600 mm. Water connection is 1" male. Operating pressure is 1.5 to 3 bar, with nominal flow 50 l/min; 75 and 110 l/min variants are also available. Actuation is by T-handle pull rod with 1" ball valve. An automatic flow regulator maintains the specified spray pattern within the stated dynamic pressure range.
The BR 305 195 eye shower includes a stainless steel bowl, overall height 1025 mm, projection 345 mm, and 1" male inlet connection. Operating pressure is 2.5 to 5 bar with flow rate 14 l/min. The twin spray heads are configured for controlled, low-impact, wide-area water distribution across the eye zone and include dust covers and flow adjustment.
The BR 832 195 combined unit integrates body and eye shower functions in one self-draining assembly. The eye shower section requires 14 l/min at 1.5 to 5 bar. Selection should be based on hazard type, available network flow and pressure, floor drainage capacity, supply water temperature, and access for periodic functional testing. Referenced standards include EN 15154, ANSI Z358.1, DIN 1988, EN 1717, and DIN-DVGW certification.
