Magnetic Rupture Disc Indicator NAM 03/HT DonadonSDD
The NAM 03/HT is designed for rupture disc burst detection in industrial pressure relief systems. The magnetic proximity sensor is installed downstream of the rupture disc, within the threaded port of the disc holder. A permanent magnet, supplied with the disc, shifts position upon disc activation, triggering a signal to the plant safety system (PLC, DCS, or SIS).

ATEX Compliance and Safety System Integration
The NAM 03/HT is an intrinsic safety device with classifications: ATEX II 2GD Ex mb II T4/T6, Ex tD A21 IP67 T135°C/T85°C, ATEX II 1GD Ex ia IIB T3/T6, Ex iaD 20 T200°C/T85°C. The 2 m dual-core cable must be connected via a suitable intrinsic safety barrier. With an Ex ia barrier, zones 0, 20, 1, 21, 2, 22 are covered; with Ex ib, zones 1, 21, 2, 22 are covered.
Selection and Application
Media compatibility is determined by the rupture disc and holder materials, as these are in direct contact with the process fluid. Typical applications include process lines, pressure vessels, reactors, gas installations, and chemical plants where rupture disc status feedback is required for process safety systems.

Yes. Replacement discs are supplied with a new magnetic target.
Is it suitable for ATEX zones?

The rupture discs alone are manufactured, tested, and certified in compliance with ASME directive, Section VIII, Division 1 and carry the relative UD stamp.
DonadonSDD is subject to inspections carried out by 3-A Sanitary Standard, Inc. (3-A SSI) so that our rupture discs can meet the highest sanitary standards.
Upon request, our clients can ask independent inspectors to certify single batches.
