Valfonta M1 Direct-Acting Pressure Reducer with Pulse Line

The Valfonta M1 is a self-acting globe-type pressure reducer with a single seat, designed for regulating downstream pressure without external energy. The outlet pressure is directed to the diaphragm actuator via a pulse line, and the valve closes proportionally when the downstream pressure exceeds the set point. From DN65, inlet pressure balancing is provided.

  • Sizes: DN15–DN150.
  • Connections: DIN flanges PN16–PN40, ANSI Class 150/300, BSP or NPT threads.
  • Body Materials: EN-GJS-400-18-LT / GGG40.3, ASTM A216 WCB, ASTM A351 CF3M, brass RG10 upon request.
  • Maximum Inlet Pressure: 40 barg for DN15–DN50 and 25 barg for DN65–DN150.
  • Adjustment Range: approximately 0.1–15 barg, with different actuator diameters.
  • Kv: 3.5 to 240 m³/h per DN.

Sealing Materials and Temperature

Internal parts are available in stainless steel AISI 316L. Stem sealing is achieved with a double-walled stainless steel bellows and anti-rotation system for protection. Options for disc/seat include metal, PTFE+GR, PEEK, EPDM, FPM, and NBR, with temperature limits up to 250°C per material. For steam or fluids above 125°C, a condensate pot is required to protect the diaphragm.

Applications

Suitable for steam, compressed air, neutral gases, and liquids. Typical uses include steam pressure reduction stations, HVAC networks, industrial water, auxiliary process networks, and instrument/service air lines.

Installation

Upstream filter, isolation valves, inlet/outlet pressure gauges, downstream safety valve, and proper pulse line tapping at least 1 m after the valve are recommended.

Product documentation references PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX technical file custody, and ISO 9001:2015. Certification validity should be confirmed during technical procurement.
