Needle Valve 4G Ghidini 658230 – Clamp with Calibrated Handwheel

Manual needle valve for gradual adjustment of small flow rates in clean liquids or gases. The 658230 version features Clamp connections according to DIN 32676 Tab. 4 Reihe C and Tab. 2 Reihe A, AISI 316L body, polished exterior surface, and calibrated handwheel. Available in 1/2”, 3/4”, DIN 34, and 1”.

• Body, needle, screw, stopper nut, and graduate ring material: AISI 316L
• Handwheel, washer, nut, and screws: AISI 304L
• Sealing: O-rings FKM, seats PTFE and PTFE with glass reinforcement

Operational Use

The calibrated handwheel is used when the operator needs to return the valve to a specific open position after cleaning, Clamp disconnection, or setting change. The position indication is not a flow measurement; actual flow depends on ΔP, viscosity, temperature, and line characteristics.

Typical Applications

• Sampling lines in clean media
• Small flows in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical skids
• Auxiliary CIP/SIP circuits within temperature and material limits
• Dosing or trimming lines with sanitary connections
• Applications requiring disassembly without threads in the process zone

Not suitable for slurries, suspended solids, or viscous products, as the needle creates a limited flow cross-section.

Difference from Simple Clamp Version

Compared to the 658030, the 658230 is selected when repeated manual adjustment and visual position reference are required. For simple isolation or occasional adjustment, the non-calibrated version may suffice.
