WEY Stop Log Gate – Type 6.6
The WEY Stop Log 6.6 is used for temporary or variable-height isolation of channels, chambers and tanks. Individual aluminium stop logs are inserted into a stainless-steel frame, allowing the retained water level to be adjusted by adding or removing sections. The sealing arrangement operates in both flow directions.
Technical Data
-
Clear width: 500–6400 mm
-
Water head: 0.15–6 m
-
Frame: stainless steel 1.4404
-
Stop log sections: aluminium
-
Seal materials: NBR or polyurethane
-
Sealing arrangement: three-sided and bidirectional
-
Available profiles: 30, 50, 90, 150 and 200 mm, depending on opening and hydrostatic load.
The frame and stop-log profile are selected according to the clear width, total isolation height and maximum one-sided water pressure. A hold-down device can be provided to compress the sections against the sealing surfaces.
Operation and Installation
The sections are inserted and removed using suitable lifting equipment. The frame may be installed in a concrete recess or fixed using anchors. Guide alignment, parallelism and wall flatness must be checked before final grouting. Sealing surfaces must remain free from concrete and debris.
Applications
Flood-control structures, wastewater treatment plants, stormwater channels, raw-water systems, industrial-water installations and seawater facilities.
FAQ
Is the Stop Log intended for permanent isolation?
Aluminium stop logs are primarily intended for temporary or emergency shut-off and are less suitable for continuous permanent service.
What maintenance is required?
Guides and seals must be cleaned and lubricated. At least four complete operating checks should be performed annually, with more frequent inspection under severe service conditions.
