WEY Stop Gate – Type 6.7
The WEY Stop Gate 6.7 is a removable stainless-steel gate for isolating channels, chambers and tanks in water and wastewater systems. The single gate plate is inserted into a fixed frame and removed using suitable lifting equipment. It has no permanently installed actuator and provides shut-off in both pressure directions.
Technical Data
-
Clear width: 1000–5000 mm
-
Water head: 0.15–4 m
-
Frame: stainless steel 1.4404
-
Gate plate: stainless steel 1.4404
-
Gate guides: PE-UHMW / RCH1000
-
Seal: three-sided NBR
-
Sealing direction: bidirectional
-
Construction: project-specific according to opening dimensions and hydrostatic load.
The gate plate is reinforced according to the specified one-sided water pressure. The three-sided sealing arrangement acts along the two vertical guides and the channel invert. The frame remains permanently fixed to the structure, while the gate plate can be lifted out when access to the channel is required.
Operation and Installation
Insertion and removal are carried out using a crane or suitable hoisting device. The frame can be installed in a concrete recess or fixed with anchors. Vertical alignment, guide parallelism and wall flatness must be verified before final grouting. Installation work is performed with the gate fully closed, and sealing surfaces must remain free from concrete and debris.
Applications
Wastewater, stormwater, raw water, industrial water, mixed-water systems and seawater installations.
FAQ
What is the difference between a Stop Gate and a Stop Log?
A Stop Gate uses one rigid stainless-steel plate. A Stop Log system consists of multiple removable sections and allows adjustment of the isolation height.
What maintenance is required?
Guides and seals must be cleaned and lubricated. At least four operating checks per year are specified, with more frequent inspection under severe service conditions.
