WEY Pit Sluice Gate – Type 4.6
The WEY Pit Sluice Gate 4.6 is used to isolate pipelines entering circular shafts, rectangular chambers and sludge collectors. Its rounded bottom profile follows the chamber geometry and reduces areas where solids can accumulate. The frame can be embedded in concrete or anchored to a prepared wall surface.
Technical Data
-
Clear widths: 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400 and 500 mm
-
Maximum water head: 5 m
-
Frame, gate and stem: stainless steel 1.4404
-
Gate guides: PE-UHMW
-
Seal: four-sided NBR
-
Leakage with clean water: ≤0.2 l/min per metre of sealing line
-
Tightness: better than DIN 19569-4, Class 5
-
Operation: bidirectional over the full gate stroke
-
Stem: non-rising, with square drive
The gate is reinforced according to the specified hydrostatic load. PE-UHMW guides provide low-friction movement and resistance to ageing, chemicals and UV exposure. Four-sided sealing allows isolation independently of the pressure direction.
Operation and Installation
The standard configuration uses a non-rising stem operated from a square drive. Stem extensions and surface-level operating arrangements can be provided for deep chambers. Installation options include an embedded bottom profile or an anchored frame for wall mounting.
Applications
Wastewater chambers, sludge collectors, stormwater systems, raw-water networks, industrial-water installations, flood-control structures and seawater applications.
FAQ
What data are required for selection?
Clear opening, chamber diameter, pipeline diameter, maximum water head, installation depth, pressure direction and mounting method.
Can it be installed in an ATEX area?
The mechanical gate has no inherent ignition source when fitted with antistatic PE-UHMW guides. Actuators, sensors and accessories must be selected separately for the applicable ATEX zone.
