Globe Forged Steel Pressure Seal Valve

Forged globe valve with pressure seal bonnet for high-pressure small lines. The range includes NPS 1/2"–2" / DN15–DN50 and ASME Class 900–2500 / PN150–PN420, with a body made of carbon steel or alloy steel.

Sealing and Trim

The pressure seal body-bonnet connection is used when internal pressure must load the seal ring. The material list includes graphite packing, spiral wound graphite gasket/316L SS in other bonnet versions, and disc with Stellite overlay in carbon, alloy, or stainless configurations.

Suitable for drains, vents, low-flow bypass, high-pressure steam, boiler auxiliaries, condensates, water, process gases, and refinery auxiliary lines. Selection is based on pressure class, temperature, medium, end type, operation frequency, and allowable leakage from packing and seat.

Comparison with Bolted/Welded Bonnet

The bolted bonnet facilitates disassembly. The welded bonnet reduces external leakage paths. The pressure seal bonnet is preferred at higher pressures, where bonnet seal loading by operating pressure is a critical design criterion.

Is it a control valve?

Primarily used for isolation. For throttling, control of Δp, flow velocity, and potential seat/disc wear is required.

When to choose forged pressure seal?

For small diameters with high pressure rating, when a compact forged body and body-bonnet sealing suitable for high pressure are required.
