The Neway Through Conduit Slab Gate Valve is a full bore isolation valve for oil, gas, and industrial fluid pipelines. Its through-conduit design minimizes pressure drop and prevents debris accumulation in the valve cavity. Not suitable for flow regulation or intermediate position operation.
The slab gate features a full bore gate and floating spring-loaded seats. Neway documentation highlights dual O-rings on seats, a vent valve for body cavity, drain plug, and emergency sealant injection fittings for stem and seats. These are critical for pipelines requiring venting, drainage, and temporary sealing restoration during operation.
Suitable for:
Selection should be based on pressure class, temperature, RF/RTJ/BW connection, body material, NACE/sour service requirement, seat sealing type, differential opening pressure, and DBB/bleed operation need. For actuators, torque check, stem travel, fail position, limit switches, and closing time are required.
Difference from wedge gate valve?
The through-conduit slab is a full bore pipeline valve. The wedge gate is mainly used as a general process isolation valve.
Used for throttling?
No. Partially open position causes wear on gate and seats.
When to choose BW?
In critical pipeline lines where welded connection and minimization of potential external leaks are required.
