Forged Gate Valve Class 150/300 - C150/300 | ICP

ICP C150RF / C300RF Gate Valve Class 150–300

The ICP C150/300 is a forged steel gate valve for small diameters, featuring RF flanges, designed for flow isolation in steam, condensate, thermal oil, compressed air, industrial water, and process fluid networks. It operates in an on/off capacity and is not intended for throttling.

Technical Configuration

  • Types: Fig. C150RF and Fig. C300RF
  • Sizes: 1/2"–2" / DN15–DN50
  • Pressure class: ASME Class 150 or Class 300
  • Connection: RF flanges per ASME B16.5
  • Design: API 602 / ASME B16.34
  • Face-to-face: ASME B16.10
  • Testing: API 598, pressure testing per EN 12266-1
  • Marking: EN 19

Materials and Sealing

Available in two main versions:

  • Carbon steel: body/bonnet ASTM A105, seat and gate A182 F6A + Stellite, stem AISI 410.
  • Stainless steel: body/bonnet ASTM A182 F316L, seat F316L + Stellite, gate and stem F316L.

Stem sealing is achieved with flexible graphite + carbon fibre packing. The body-bonnet gasket is stainless steel with graphite, suitable for thermal cycles in steam and thermal fluids.

Class 150 vs Class 300 Selection

Selection is not solely based on nominal pressure. Consider:

  • Design pressure and operating temperature
  • Pressure rating reduction from P/T diagram
  • Body material A105 or F316L
  • Fluid compatibility with trim, packing, and gasket
  • Flange rating requirements of the piping

The datasheet provides Kv from 5.6 m³/h for DN15 to 98.2 m³/h for DN50, useful for pressure drop checks in fully open position.

Certifications and Testing

Includes CE, ATEX, and NACE. EN 10204 2.2 certificate indicates compliance with PED 2014/68/EU and ATEX 2014/34/EU, Group II Cat. 2. Hydraulic tests are specified as shell/seat-backseat 32/22 barg for Class 150 and 79/56 barg for Class 300.

FAQ

When to choose Class 300?
When the P/T rating of the line or flange specification requires a higher pressure class.

Is it suitable for flow regulation?
No. Partially open positions wear the metal seats.

What is checked for stem leakage?
The compression and condition of the graphite packing, without excessive gland loading.
