The Tecfluid 60M1 is a variable area flowmeter designed for low flow rates of liquids and gases. Flow ascends through a borosilicate glass tapered tube, lifting the float to its equilibrium position. Indication is read directly from the tube’s engraved scale. This device is suitable for process monitoring where direct local indication is required.
Wetted parts are EN 1.4404 / AISI 316L. The measuring tube is borosilicate glass. Floats are available in AISI 316L, glass, plastic, or ceramic, depending on flow range and fluid density. Sealing options: NBR, Viton, or EPDM.
Install vertically with upward flow. Inlet is at the bottom (minimum scale value), outlet at the top. Deviation of 5°–10° from vertical may cause ~10% reading error. Do not open the control valve abruptly to avoid float impact with the glass tube.
Maintenance is mainly limited to cleaning the tube and float. Remove the protective cover for access. Clean with a soft brush; avoid metal tools that may scratch the glass or float. Inspect seals during reassembly.
Can it measure steam?
Not as a standard application. The 60M1 series is intended for low flows of liquids and gases.
Does it have an analog output?
Standard version is local indication only. For electrical outputs, consider other series or special configurations.
