Deluge Valves
Deluge valves are used in deluge, pre-action, and foam-water fire protection systems to control admission of water to the spray network after an electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or remote release signal. Valve selection should be based on the system release philosophy, required flow rate, available fire main pressure, installation position, response time, and the need to perform functional testing without unintended flooding of the protected area.
This category includes Cla-Val 100G / 2100G valves for flow control in deluge, pre-action, and foam-water sprinkler systems, with UL listing for Special Systems Water Control Valves Class I and ABS approval. For seawater service, 100GS / 2100GS versions are available with material options including Naval Bronze, Nickel Aluminum Bronze, stainless steel, Super Duplex, and SMO 254, selected according to medium corrosivity and project-specific requirements.
The range also covers tubular diaphragm models TDV 834-05, 834-60, and 800GS, together with solenoid control arrangements 134-05, 134-60, 134-61, and 134-BP, as well as pneumatically actuated versions 403, 403-11, 403-27, and 414-01. Type 134-05 uses a 100G/2100G main valve, a three-way solenoid valve, and an auxiliary pilot to switch pressure in the diaphragm chamber, with either normally open or normally closed logic.
Available configurations include DIN and ANSI standards, with flanged or grooved end connections, in PN 10, PN 16, Class 125, Class 150, Class 250, and Class 300 pressure ratings. During maintenance, pilot lines, strainers, orifices, diaphragm condition, solenoid function, manual bypass, seat condition, alarm and test connections, and actual release pressure should be checked. Scale, suspended solids, corrosion, or trapped air can alter response time and shut-off tightness.
