Globe Valve cast Iron with non return plug JIS 16K - F7377
Cast Iron SDNR Valve JIS 16K F7377
The JIS F7377 is a straight pattern cast iron SDNR (screw-down non-return) valve designed for marine piping systems with JIS 16K flanged connections. It provides mechanical shut-off via handwheel and non-return (check) function when open. The standard covers cast iron 16K screw-down check globe valves for shipbuilding and industrial marine applications.

Test Pressure
For DN50–DN200, typical body test pressure is 3.2–3.3 MPa, seat test pressure 2.38–2.42 MPa. Final values should be confirmed by manufacturer’s test certificate due to minor variations in catalog data and rounding.
Suitable Media
Applicable for fresh water, seawater, air, gases, steam up to 205°C, fuel oil, and lubricating oil, provided trim selection and vessel specification permit.
Application Selection
The F7377 is selected over F7375 where JIS 16K class is required instead of JIS 10K. For 90° angle flow, use F7378. Compared to a standard globe valve, SDNR design reduces the need for a separate check valve but maintains globe geometry pressure drop.
Maintenance
Inspect stem packing, seat/disc condition, free movement of check disc, and monitor cast iron body for corrosion, especially in seawater or steam thermal cycling environments.
