Globe Valve Angle Cast Steel with non return plug JIS 10K - F7472
Cast Steel Angle SDNR Valve JIS 10K F7472
The JIS F7472 is an angle pattern screw-down non-return (SDNR) valve with a cast steel body and flanged ends to JIS 10K standard. It is specified for marine piping systems where both isolation and prevention of reverse flow are required in a single unit. Product documentation refers to it as a cast steel 10K screw-down check angle valve, designed to JIS F7472-1996 and tested per JIS F7400-1996.
Operation
The valve changes flow direction by 90°. The handwheel actuates the stem to seat the disc. In the open position, the disc acts as a check element, restricting backflow to the upstream side.

Test Pressure
Hydrostatic shell test: 2.1 MPa. Seat test: 1.54 MPa (additional value: 0.4 MPa per catalogue data).
Suitable Media
Applicable for marine water lines, seawater, steam, air, inert gases, and oil, provided operating temperature, corrosion, and class requirements are met by the trim and manufacturer certification.
Selection vs F7471
F7472 is selected over F7471 where a 90° angle connection and flow change are required. Remains in JIS 10K series; for higher pressure, select higher class variants.
Maintenance
Inspect stem packing, seat/disc condition, free movement of check element, and flange corrosion. For steam service, recheck after thermal cycling.
