Safety Showers Stations
This category covers B-Safety PremiumLine emergency shower stations installed within a protective cage with integrated drainage, for locations where personnel decontamination must take place in a controlled zone with collection and removal of flushing water. Configurations include body showers, eye wash stations, and combined body/eye units for chemical plants, laboratories, loading areas, dosing stations, and industrial process lines with potential exposure to corrosive or irritant media.
The construction is based on polished stainless steel with a tubular frame, cage dimensions of 960 x 850 x 900 mm, and a 200 x 200 mm anchor base with four fixing holes. The cage provides a defined operating boundary and directs contaminated rinse water to the drain, reducing spread of chemically loaded effluent into adjacent work areas.
Body shower versions are specified with an overall height of 2330 mm, projection of 600-625 mm, 1" male water connection, operating pressure of 1.5-3 bar, and nominal flow rate of 50 l/min, with 75 and 110 l/min variants available. The shower head is self-draining and incorporates flow regulation to maintain a stable spray pattern and controlled water distribution during chemical removal from skin and clothing.
Eye wash stations are equipped with a 275 mm stainless steel bowl and twin spray heads with dust covers. Operating pressure is 2.5-5 bar with adjustable flow of 14 l/min. Actuation by platform and chain allows emergency operation without fine motor handling, which is relevant where immediate response is required after chemical contact.
Station selection should be based on hazard type, available water supply pressure and flow, drain capacity, access layout, and the requirement to contain contaminated flushing water. Referenced standards include EN 15154-1/-2/-5, ANSI Z358.1, DIN 1988, EN 1717, DIN-DVGW, and safety marking in accordance with EN ISO 7010 / ASR A1.3.
