SonFlow / DanPumps S-WP Wastewater Pumps
The S-WP series comprises submersible wastewater pumps designed for wet well installation, dry pit operation, or portable use. Typical applications include municipal sewage, industrial effluent, and fluids containing solids or fibrous material. The range covers flow rates up to 4000 m³/h, discharge sizes up to DN400, and fluid temperatures up to 45°C.
S-WP Series Variants
- S-WP0: Up to DN80, max 68 m³/h. Suitable for low-flow applications.
- S-WP1: Up to DN100, max 180 m³/h, free passage up to 70 mm.
- S-WP2 / S-WP3: Up to DN150, 380–600 m³/h, free passage up to 100 mm.
- S-WP4: Up to DN300, max 1600 m³/h, free passage up to 130 mm.
- S-WP5: Up to DN400, max 4000 m³/h. For high flow, low head applications.
Impeller Types and Selection Criteria
Impeller selection is based on pump curve, required head, solids content, and clogging risk.
- Single/Double Channel: Higher hydraulic efficiency, more sensitive to fibrous content.
- B-tween: Intermediate design for wastewater with elevated suspended solids.
- Vortex: Lower efficiency, but increased tolerance to solids and fibrous materials.
- Cutter: For rags, plastics, sanitary waste, and viscous organic residues.
Materials and Sealing
Pump body: GJL-250. Cast iron impeller: GJS-400-15. Shaft: AISI 431. O-rings: NBR. Optional impellers in AISI 316 or duplex. Dual mechanical cartridge seal: SIC/SIC (media side), SIC/Carbon (cooling side).
Motor and Control
Submersible Siemens IP68, IE3 motor, insulation class F (optionally H). Includes Klixon thermal protection, moisture sensor, and inverter compatibility. Closed cooling jacket for dry or portable installation.
FAQ
When to select S-WP vs S-WN?
S-WP is used for submersible, wet well, or portable operation. For dry installation with IEC air-cooled motor, consider S-WN.
What affects maintenance?
Cartridge seals, stainless quick couplings, oil drain, and adjustable wear ring reduce intervention time and help maintain hydraulic efficiency.
