KITO E 17.10 N – Pressure/Vacuum Valve VD/oL

The KITO VD/oL-…/… is a terminal breather valve designed for vent openings on fixed-roof storage tanks. It is used to limit unacceptable overpressure and vacuum, and to reduce vapor losses or emissions. This valve is not explosion-proof and is not suitable for continuous burning service.

Sizes and Connections

• DN 50, 80, 100, 125, 150: PN 16
• DN 200, 250: PN 10
• Alternative: ASME 2" to 10"
• Flange connection: EN 1092-1 Type B1
• Optional: ASME B16.5 Class 150 RF
• Standard side connection; optional vertical connection

Vertical connection from DN 100 upwards requires prior technical agreement; on-site support may be necessary during installation.

Pressure and Vacuum Settings

The vacuum pallet matches the flange size. The pressure pallet is selected according to the required tank breathing flow.

• Vacuum setting: approx. 1.6–110 mbar, depending on DN
• Pressure setting: approx. 1.8–200 mbar, depending on pallet size and use of body extension

Materials and Sealing

Standard body: carbon steel; optional stainless steel 1.4571. Seat, shaft, and weights: stainless steel 1.4571. Seat O-ring: VMQ-FEP, options: Viton, NBR, or VMQ-PFA. Pallet seal: NBR, optional Viton, PTFE, EPDM, or metal. For settings ≥100 mbar, PTFE or metal seal is used.

Maintenance and Selection

Valve selection is based on required inbreathing/outbreathing flow, maximum allowable tank pressure, and stored media. Flow rates are specified for air at 1.29 kg/m³ at 273 K, achieved with 40% accumulation above setpoint, per DIN 4119. Supplied without EC certificate and without CE marking.
