Miyawaki REAC20 Direct-Acting Pressure Reducing Valve for Liquids and Gases
The Miyawaki REAC20 is a self-operated pressure reducing valve suitable for both compressible and incompressible media. It is applicable for air, technical gases, water, oil, and other neutral fluids. The downstream pressure is internally sensed within the control chamber, allowing the valve to adjust the opening directly without external energy or impulse lines.
Technical Specifications
- DN15–DN200.
- Flanged connection DIN standard.
- Body made of stainless steel GX5CrNiMo19-11-2 / 1.4408.
- Body class PN40.

- PMO 4.0 MPa, TMO 400°C.
- Kvs 1.8–320 m³/h, depending on DN.
- Downstream pressure setting range: 0.05–1.6 MPa.
- Settings below 0.05 MPa or above 1.6 MPa require technical evaluation.
- Maximum pressure reduction ratio: 25:1.
Construction and Operation
The valve employs a piston-driven design with an O-ring and lacks a diaphragm. The conical disc rotates freely at 360°, minimizing unilateral seat wear. The soft sealing option allows for leakage class VI when low leakage is required in the closed position.
Applications
Suitable for compressed air lines, technical gases, lube oil, process water, pre-heater units, LNG or gasoline tank systems, with technical confirmation of material and sealing compatibility. The stainless steel construction 1.4408 differentiates it from the REA20 with a ductile cast iron body.
Selection
Sizing requires p1, p2, flow rate, medium, temperature, DN, Kvs, desired leakage class, and reduction ratio check. For ratios above 25:1, consider a two-stage reduction.
