Stainless Steel Pneumatically Actuated Hafner Valves
Hafner stainless steel pneumatically actuated valves are specified for compressed air circuits where actuation is achieved via pilot pressure rather than solenoid coils. INOX construction is suitable for aggressive or wet environments, washdown areas, outdoor installations, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, and marine applications. The range includes 3/2, 5/2, and 5/3 configurations.
Available Functions
- P 310 VES – 3/2 NC, single pilot, air spring return
G 1/4” or G 1/2”, flow rates 1250–3000 l/min, operating pressure 2…10 bar. Pilot pressure matches line pressure. - P 311 VES – 3/2 NC, mechanical spring return
For applications requiring separate pilot supply 3…10 bar. Available with G or NPT threads. - P 510 / P 511 VES – 5/2 monostable
For double-acting cylinders. P 510 uses line pilot pressure; P 511 requires pilot 3…10 bar. - P 520 VES – 5/2 bistable
Double pilot, last-position memory until opposite pneumatic signal. Suitable for position memory circuits.
5/3 Variants
P 531 / P 532 / P 533 VES offer mid-position with spring return:
- centre closed: isolates actuator ports,
- centre exhausted: vents both cylinder chambers,
- centre pressurised: supplies both sides simultaneously.
Flow rates: 1250 l/min (G 1/4”), 3000 l/min (G 1/2”). Operating pressure 2…10 bar, pilot 3…10 bar.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based on 3/2, 5/2, or 5/3 function, required fail-safe position, available pilot pressure, actuator flow demand, G or NPT thread, and corrosion exposure. Maintenance includes inspection of pilot lines, exhaust leakage, air quality, and seal integrity.
