Hafner Actuators for BA Valves – Panel Mounting

Hafner BA actuators are designed for use with BA series valves, suitable for panel mounting in Ø22 mm cutouts. These actuators serve as the mechanical interface for valve operation and are selected based on actuation method, momentary or maintained function, and operator recognition via color or shape. Selection should consider process requirements, operator safety, and panel layout constraints.

Available Types

• BA 221: Push button actuator for BA valves. Available in black, red, green, yellow, blue, or white. Actuation force: 16 N.
• BA 222: Palm button, momentary action, black or red. Actuation force: 16 N.
• BA 223: Palm button with maintained position, red. Actuation force: 27 N.
• BA 224: Long rotary lever, black. Actuation torque: 42 N/cm.
• BA 225: Key-switch actuator for restricted access operation. Actuation force: 25 N.
• BA 226: Switch actuator for BA valves, black. Actuation torque: 16 N/cm.
• BA 227: Short rotary lever, black. Actuation torque: 16 N/cm.
• BA 334: Long rotary lever, 3-position, for 4/3 or 7/3 valves.

Selection Criteria

Push buttons are used for momentary commands such as start, reset, test, or local pneumatic signal activation. Palm buttons are specified where a larger actuation surface is required. Maintained, rotary lever, or key-switch versions are used when the selected state must be held or restricted to authorized personnel. Selection should consider operator ergonomics, safety standards (e.g., EN ISO 13850), and process control logic.
