Hafner Stainless Steel Air Valves with Lever Actuation
The Hafner HV / HVR VES series comprises manually operated pneumatic valves constructed from stainless steel, designed for panel mounting and local compressed air control. These valves are specified where manual actuation is required without solenoid or pilot signal, particularly in environments with humidity, frequent washdowns, corrosive atmospheres, or stringent cleaning requirements.
Available Functions
- HV 311 701 VES: 3/2 single-acting, spring return, NC, G 1/4”, 1250 l/min, 1–10 bar, actuation force 20 N.
- HVR 320 701 VES: 3/2 double-acting, two stable positions, G 1/4”, 1250 l/min, 1–10 bar, 20 N.
- HV 511 701 VES: 5/2 single-acting, spring return, for double-acting cylinders.
- HVR 520 701 VES: 5/2 double-acting, mechanical position holding.
5/3 Variants
HV 531 / 532 / 533 VES types feature spring return to center position. HVR 531 / 532 / 533 VES have indexed lever with position retention.
- 531 centre closed: isolates working ports.
- 532 centre exhausted: exhausts cylinder chambers.
- 533 centre pressurised: supplies both sides.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based on function (3/2, 5/2, or 5/3), required rest position, mid-position behavior, actuator flow demand, line pressure, and need for single or double-acting operation. All variants share G 1/4” ports, 1250 l/min flow, 1–10 bar pressure range, and 20 N actuation force.
Applications and Maintenance
Typical uses include pneumatic panels, local cylinder actuation, food processing lines, washdown installations, marine equipment, and auxiliary maintenance operations. Maintenance involves checking for port leakage, air cleanliness, lever wear, panel mounting integrity, and indexed position stability. Suitable for air and inert gases; stainless steel construction supports use in aggressive or hygienic environments. Conforms to industrial standards for pneumatic control valves.
