Magnetic Rupture Disk Indicator STRIKO SVT PM / SVT PM-Z
The SVT PM / SVT PM-Z is a magnetic activation indicator designed for STRIKO metallic rupture disks. It is installed on the vent side, directly downstream of the disk, compatible with SHF-M, SHZ-M, SHU-M holders and their respective Pro versions. Functions as an independent monitoring device, with no rewiring required after disk activation.
Operation and Installation
Utilizes a permanent magnet and magnetic field sensor. Upon disk opening, the magnet position shifts, altering the sensor output. The signal can be routed to PLC, DCS, SIS, or alarm panels for activation logging.
Installation downstream of the disk allows for visual inspection and replacement without disconnecting electrical wiring. When the disk is upstream of a safety valve, the SVT PM does not require removal for valve testing, as it is unaffected by backpressure.

Industrial Applications
SVT PM is selected for lines with hazardous, volatile, or corrosive media where activation confirmation is required without through-holes or porous seals on the process side. Suitable for chemical plants, reactors, pressure vessels, gas lines, and ATEX-regulated installations.
ATEX / Intrinsic Safety
STRIKO indicators are classified as simple electrical equipment when connected to an intrinsically safe circuit. Barrier selection and installation must comply with EN 60079-11 and EN 60079-14.
