DonadonSDD explosion vent panels are non-reclosing pressure relief devices designed for process equipment where there is a risk of dust or gas deflagration. When the set opening pressure (pstat) is exceeded, the panel ruptures, venting overpressure in a predetermined safe direction.

Construction and Technical Data

Standard construction is composite and includes:

  • calibrated metallic section,
  • sealing membrane, typically PTFE,
  • protective metallic cover.

Available models: PS/R (rectangular geometry) and PS/C (circular geometry). Typical parameters: burst pressure 0.1 bar g, tolerance ±10% to ±20%, operating temperature up to 260°C, operating margin 50–70%. Options include vacuum support and electrical or inductive activation indicators.

  • silos and bulk storage vessels,
  • dryers, sifters, and separators,
  • mixers, troughs, and conveying lines,
  • air systems, boosters, air purifiers.

ATEX PS/EX versions are certified EX II GD or EX II D. Technical documentation confirms compliance with ATEX 2014/34/EU and protection type per EN 14797 for explosion venting devices.

Model Selection

PS/R is selected for rectangular venting surfaces on filters, silos, or flat walls. PS/C is used for circular nozzles or flanged vessels. Selection requires: equipment volume, dust Kst/Pmax, allowable reduced pressure (Pred), temperature, vacuum, ATEX zone, and vent duct presence.
